Short Trip to Penang
Last Friday, hubby and myself packed our bags heading to Penang for a short 4-day trip. We stayed at my parent’s house - and had a whale of time enjoying the delicious food and drive-around Penang.
I am still mesmerized by Penang bridge, even though I was previously travelling to and fro the island and mainland when I worked in Bayan Lepas. Its currently undergoing expansion work, and the traffic is especially heavy because of the long weekend holidays. Nevertheless, nothing beats having the family together in my car, driving around and chit-chatting.
We had our usual food at Pulau Tikus and also the Cendul at Penang Road. We didn’t buy much stuff, but just enjoyed the journey. The drive to Batu Ferringhi was terrifying, especially when the news on the landslide at Bukit Antarabangsa is still fresh in my mind. Seeing the high-end condo’s and resort homes perched on the hillslope, I just cannot imagine why would anyone sacrifice their safety for luxury.
My parents were delighted to see us home - afterall we are rarely home. They are the ones who usually comes to visit us in KL. My goal is to purchase a landed property soonest possible so that they can comfortably live with us in KL and for me to take care of them. :) For now, I need to work hard and continue pursuing my business ventures till my dream come true.
