Kuala Lumpur to Sri Damansara in 30 mins
I was in Megan Phileo Avenue today for an appointment, and I thought that I would be caught in the nasty peak hour jam along Jalan Tun Razak. Surprisingly, the entire journey was smooth, pleasant and it only took me 30 minutes to reach my house in Bandar Sri Damansara!
This is the route I took :-
Megan Phileo Avenue > Jalan Tun Razak > Ramp to Jalan Kuching > Ramp towards Jinjang/Kepong > Ramp towards Sungai Buloh > Turn into Bandar Sri Damansara
After analysizing, I realised that the journey took only 30 minutes because I left at 6.01PM, therefore the entire going-home traffic has yet to flood the highways. If I were 10 minutes later, I would probably be greeted by huge amount of traffic. To plus that up, the police these days man the traffic very well along Jalan Tun Razak. The stop the flowing traffic to let traffic flow into the main road, so its like a human traffic light. Else, all cars will try to squeeze into the main road, making the road clogged and jammed up. Also, the police also disallow traffic from one of the roads to turn into Jalan Tun Razak (near the Pekeliling flats) so there is considerably less traffic flowing into Jalan Tun Razak.
Lastly, what do you do in your car when you are stuck in the traffic jam?  These are some of the things I do in my car when I am caught in a jam (it keeps me level-headed on the road) :-
- Sing along with the radio stations
- Listen to traffic report to know whether there is any extraordinary happenings (eg accident, flood ..etc)
- Put on my thinking cap - one of the best time to brain storm for ideas
- Enjoy the scenery
- Think about what to eat
It would be ideal to have a VCD player in the car, so that I can watch some movies, listen to MTVs, catch news. Or maybe I should get a fridge in the car, so that I can eat ice-cream when its hot & sunny.
What would you like to have in your car?
highway, kuala lumpur, traffic jams
