Interesting Bites

I am really feeling the pressure of being a manager.

First it was the staff’s attitude towards work ,which has since been solved.  Now it is working together with another manager - where he gave a million excuses on why he cannot execute a job.  My immediate superior adviced me that I need to learn how to handle situations like this, as I will be climbing higher as time goes by.

In times like this, I suddenly remembered an ex-colleague told me that her boyfriend said “I am here to get the job down, not to make people happy.  If I want to make people happy, I might as well be a clown”.  Very strong & powerful one there, but I thought about it and realised that I try to please everyone too much.  Alas, I just took a firm approach and I got what I wanted. 

Being a manager is really not easy…
