Interesting Bites

I have only been one month in this new organization and my big boss has assigned new task on top of my current job.  I am delighted because my boss has the faith and trust in my abilities to handle a larger marketing role - and I’m going to have 2 new staff under my charge from now on.

I now handle the marketing aspects of two organizations, both handling partners in the Asia Pacific region.  Its no easy task for me to strategize marketing plans for these two organizations - but I think the harder task would be the two executive under my charge, where they will have to handle the running of the daily activities and all the manual work while I handle the big picture of marketing.  My big boss gave me a briefing today, and after listening to his explanation only did I realise the breath & depth of the business of the sister company.  And, I will have new challenges to creatively conceptualize plain ideas into one that will “wow” the partners and also end users.

Even though all these means more work, and possibly less time to rest & relax - I know that I will be able to learn a lot more on marketing and to be able to grow into a full fledge marketing manager in time to come.
